The Important Warning About Adobe Cancellation Fees
Adobe's cancellation policy is one of the more aggressive in the software industry. If you are on an annual plan billed monthly and cancel before the year is up, Adobe charges a cancellation fee of 50% of the remaining subscription cost. A monthly plan has no cancellation fee β you just stop at the end of the current month. Check which plan you are on before proceeding.
How to Cancel Your Adobe Subscription
- 1
Go to account.adobe.com
Open a browser and navigate to account.adobe.com. Sign in with your Adobe ID email and password.
- 2
Click Plans in the top navigation
Click on Plans (or go to account.adobe.com/plans). Your current plan is shown with billing details.
- 3
Click Manage Plan β Cancel Plan
Click Manage Plan next to your subscription. Scroll down to find Cancel Plan. Click it.
- 4
Work through Adobe's retention flow
Adobe will show you offers to stay β a discounted price, a plan pause option, or a downgrade. If you want to cancel, decline these and continue. They will show the cancellation fee if applicable. Confirm the cancellation.
- 5
Get a confirmation email
Adobe should send a cancellation confirmation email. Save this β it is your proof if they continue to charge you. Check your bank statement the following month to confirm no charges.
